The Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

The Code of Business Ethics and Conduct (“Code”) is one of the key expressions of the Casais Group’s corporate culture and guides the personal and professional conduct of all members of the Group, regardless of their position or role. It also governs relationships among employees, customers, suppliers, and other partners with whom the Group interacts.

This Code establishes the guidelines on business ethics and governance applicable to CasaisInvest SGPS (parent holding company) and extendable to all entities within its scope of consolidation and management (Casais Group). It also sets forth the principles of personal conduct that must govern the actions of all Casais Group employees.

More than just a collection of rules, the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct outlines the Group’s values and mission, promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and “ethical awareness.”

CASAIS Business Ethics and the conduct of all entities and recipients of the Code are fundamental to the way business is conducted, perpetuating the “mastery” bequeathed by its founders—particularly by Master CASAIS—while upholding the foundations of the CASAIS DNA and driving its growth.

• Am I upholding the Casais Group’s core values of “Knowledge, Cooperation, Dedication, Determination, Flexibility, Humanism, Integrity, and Rigor”?
• Are my actions ethical and in line with the Casais Group's guiding principles and objectives?
• Is my action/decision in full compliance with the law, and do I have authorization to proceed?
• Do I fully understand the potential risks, including those to the Casais Group's reputation?
• Is this the right attitude? Am I setting the best example?
• If my action or decision were to become public knowledge, would I still feel that I had done the right thing?
